Express Entry intake
The Express Entry application, as IRCC asks it
A dedicated intake for permanent residence through Express Entry: the questions of IRCC's electronic application, in its order and wording, one family member at a time — with IRCC's lists, the required questions required, ten-year histories checked for gaps, and the exact missing items named before anyone can submit.

Transcript
Express Entry now has its own application in Lexova, in IRCC's order. You work through it one family member at a time; here's Julien, Marie's spouse, and yes, he'll be coming to Canada with her as well. Answer Yes to a question like other names, and the table IRCC wants opens right below it, ready for the very first entry. Ten years of history are checked for gaps: here, eight months in 2021 that nothing covers, flagged before anyone files. Press Submit, and Lexova lists exactly what's still missing, section by section, for each person. Answer one of them, eye colour for instance, and it simply drops off the list, until nothing's left.
The video starts only when you press play; nothing is downloaded before that.
When the questionnaire your client fills is not the application IRCC asks, someone translates between the two — and the gaps show up at the last minute. Lexova's Express Entry intake asks the eAPR's own questions, in its own order, for the principal applicant, the spouse and each child, so what the client answers is what goes into the portal.
How it works
One family member at a time
Each person has their own tab and their own sections — personal details, contact details, study and languages, work and personal history — with IRCC's wording and IRCC's lists.
Checked as it is answered
Questions appear when an answer calls for them; required means required; dates and e-mails are checked; histories are kept newest first and missing months must be filled.
Submitted only when complete
Before anyone can submit, Lexova names the exact missing items, each one a link to the question. Once submitted, the client's answers are read-only.
Why it matters
No translation step
The client answers IRCC's questions, not a paraphrase of them — so nothing is lost between the intake and the portal.
Ten-year histories without gaps
Missing months must be filled and overlaps explained before the section counts as complete, with a button that jumps to the entry concerned.
The exact missing items
Not “something is incomplete” but “Education, entry 2: City/town” — each a link that takes you straight there.
Ready for the portal
The same answers print the IRCC PDF forms and feed the one-click fill of the Express Entry application in the portal (Premium).
Frequently asked questions
Which programs use it?+
New Federal Skilled Worker, Canadian Experience Class and Federal Skilled Trades cases start with it. Staff can switch it on or off for any case in the case settings; existing answers are reused and nothing is deleted.
Is it on every plan?+
Yes. The intake is included on every plan. The Canada Post address search inside it is included from the Professional plan, and reading the test results and IRCC letters from the documents from the Premium plan.
Can I print the IRCC forms from it?+
Yes. Staff print IMM 0008, IMM 5669 and IMM 5562 from the same answers, in English or French.
What stays for the portal?+
The declarations, which are answered in IRCC's portal itself, and the few branches of the application Lexova does not collect yet — they are listed for you, never guessed.
